What is the CertifiKID Summer Camp Program?
Macaroni Kid publishers are providing local summer camps a new opportunity to increase summer camp sales and expand their reach - by offering an exclusive discount on CertifiKID, Macaroni Kid’s sister site. The program enhances current partnerships set up with Macaroni Kid by extending your camp’s reach to CertifiKID’s subscribers, located in all 50 states across the US.
What is CertifiKID?
Founded in 2010, CertifiKID is a nationwide website that helps parents provide incredible experiences for their kids on a budget. From family outings to kids’ camps, to children’s theatre and museums, to birthday party packages and family getaways, CertifiKID connects parents with amazing family-friendly fun at prices that won’t break the bank. In 2019, CertifiKID was featured on ABC’s Shark Tank and scored a strategic investment from Kevin O’Leary (AKA, Mr. Wonderful), extending their reach even further. In 2020, CertifiKID acquired Macaroni Kid. Together these sister websites - CertifiKID and Macaroni Kid - are now the premier resource for moms & dads nationwide to discover and save on everything their families want and need. Is there a Cost to Participate?
No! As a current Macaroni Kid client, there is no upfront cost for your camp to offer an exclusive discount on CertifiKID.
How Does this Program Work?
Your camp would offer an exclusive discount on summer camp sessions. CertifiKID and your local Macaroni Kid publisher will then advertise your camp discount (in conjunction with any Macaroni Kid advertising you already have set up). Purchases by CertifiKID and Macaroni Kid subscribers will be made through the CertifiKID website, via a deposit. (This deposit is CertifiKID’s referral fee/commission.) The remaining balance will be paid directly to the camp upon registration.
For example:
- Camp Kool Kidz is regularly priced at $400/week.
- Camp Kool Kidz needs to net at least $300/week.
- Camp Kool Kidz offers Macaroni Kid and CertifiKID subscribers a discounted rate of $350/week.
- Purchasers pay CertifiKID a $50 deposit and the remaining balance of $300 directly to Camp Kool Kidz upon registration.
- Camp Kool Kidz nets their required $300/week.

What are the Standard Terms?
To participate in this program, the discount must be at least 10% off each camp session. Importantly, the higher the discount, the more likely the camp sessions will be purchased. Additionally, we require a minimum of 20 camp spaces for purchase.
How Can I Make this Work for My Camp?
You can decide which camp sessions are made available as part of the promotion, so long as you are offering a minimum 10% discount and a minimum of 20 total camp spaces.
- Example 1: Camp Kool Kidz weeks 1 and 3 sessions are nearing capacity. CertifiKID will note in the promotion that the offer is only valid on camp weeks 2, 4, 5 and 6.
- Example 2: Camp Kool Kidz has a total of 100 camp spaces available over the summer, but only wants to offer 50 spaces at a discounted rate. CertifiKID will set the maximum number of spaces to be purchased at 50.
How Will I Track Purchases?
You will be provided with access to the CertifiKID Vendor Center to track purchases. The CertifiKID Vendor Center will show all purchases, voucher code numbers, and customer email addresses. If you'd like, you can mark which vouchers have been redeemed to help with tracking (although this is not required). If you have questions, you can reach out to your local Macaroni Kid publisher or email info@certifikid.com.
How Do I Get Started?
Please fill out this registration form. Your Macaroni Kid publisher, Julie Dikken, will be your point of contact throughout the campaign. CertifiKID will craft the promotion and provide a draft preview for you to review via your Macaroni Kid publisher contact. You are welcome to make any edits before the promotion goes live.
Is there a Deadline to Participate?
Participation will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout the summer camp registration season, but early participation will ensure the greatest exposure and benefit.
