Description
Experience the Dyslexia for a Day Simulation, hosted by JeffcoKID, an advocacy group dedicated to supporting children with dyslexia in Jefferson County. Participate in immersive reading, writing and math simulations to help you understand the challenges of dyslexia and how it affects learning. Experience firsthand what it’s like to struggle with dyslexia in school and at work, and learn about testing and intervention options. A discussion will follow the simulation.
Mary Candeo holds degrees in physical therapy and special education. She has worked in international schools, residential treatment schools, dyslexia camps and private practice. Currently, she fosters a nonprofit to support parents seeking training to tutor their own dyslexic children.
Christine Riedlin has over 20 years of teaching experience and has spent the last 14 years working with children affected by dyslexia.
