New this year, all day long scavenger hunt, and the Famous Bucket Brigades are returning with a 'twist' in Historic Downtown.
Start the day in Georgetown, Colorado with a SUP-athlon at Georgetown Lake then enjoy a beer garden while you settle in and wait for the start of the Old Fashioned Parade in Historic Downtown. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and find a spot to watch – we also suggest bringing umbrellas for shade, or you can pick one up a beautiful keepsake umbrella at the Georgetown Valley Candy Company too!
After the parade enjoy a short walk to City Park at the corner of 10th Street and Rose Street for an afternoon filled with BBQ to benefit the Georgetown Community Center ($10 per plate – cash or check please) and enjoy the sounds of the Cowboy Band as the children play at Fosters Place Playground with spectacular views of the surrounding Rocky Mountains.
The afternoon fun continues in Historic Downtown with live music on Library Stage (6th Street & Rose Street), special events, and even a hot dog eating contest.
We always recommend confirming details before attending.
