The Evergreen Fire Protection District has a rich history of community service dating back to 1926, when local volunteers first organized to protect homes in the Bear Creek area. Officially established in 1948, the Evergreen Volunteer Fire Department began with modest equipment and strong community support. Over time, the department expanded to include emergency medical services, forming Evergreen Emergency Medical Services in 1986. Today, the Evergreen Fire Protection District is a fully staffed, all-hazard fire department committed to providing professional fire, rescue, and EMS services to the Evergreen community.
