Musical Theatre Camp Will Inspire, Empower & Promote Confidence Ovation West Performing Arts Summer Musical Theatre Camp 1 and 2-week camps set for June 3-15 Summer Musical Theatre Camp is back! Ovation West Performing Arts and Mountain Youth Musicals are working together to make this the best summer camp we’ve ever offered, and registration is now open!
Summer Musical Theatre Camp allows students to grow their singing, acting, and dancing skills while making new friends and growing their confidence and social skills. Your kids will learn and perform scenes and songs from today’s most popular musicals and attend skills-based theatrical workshops with industry professionals. All sessions culminate in a Friday afternoon performance for family and friends. Your child will leave this camp feeling inspired, empowered, and more confident than ever!
The one and two-week camps run June 3-15 at Center Stage in Evergreen. Children aged 5-7 will have a blast learning and crafting songs from Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” (June 3-7) and “Sing” (June 10-14). Kids 8-11 are offered “Seussical The Musical” (June 3-7) and “Willy Wonka” (June 10-14). While participating in a variety of skills-based theatrical workshops with industry professionals, students 12-14 will develop “triple threat” skills in singing, acting, and dancing while learning and crafting song selections from “Hadestown.”
For students who like to be behind the stage, kids aged 12-18 have three one-week Tech Theatre programs. Students will be able to learn about all things behind the scenes of a stage production, from set design, lights, sound, costuming, props, stage management, and backstage magic.
For older students ages 15 – 20, we have a brand new collaboration through MYM’s “Apex Company.” These students will spend three weeks rehearsing and performing a full production of "Sweeney Todd.” Learn more and register at https://ovationwest.org/education/summer-music-camp.
