Just because school's out doesn't mean the creativity has to stop. Center for the Arts Evergreen (CAE) is open all summer long, with half-day camps and drop-in workshops running through August 14, and there's still room for your artists to dive in.
With its 2024 expansion, CAE added a dedicated ceramics studio, private artist studios, and more space for hands-on making across every age group. That extra room is paying off this summer: teen stained glass and mosaic workshops still have open spots, along with ceramics-focused favorites like Handbuilding on the High Seas and Aliens, plus Art Across Cultures, Crazy for Colorado, and So Satisfying: Ooze, Peel, Reveal!
Beyond camp, a lineup of standalone classes keeps the creativity going well into August. Fired Up! Kids' Fused Glass invites ages 7 and up to design suncatchers, magnets, and more on July 14 and August 11. Maker Lab introduces a new medium each month for ages 5 to 12, with String Art Creations on July 16 and Sculpt It! on August 20.
For families who want to get messy together, Family Clay Dates pair kids ages 7+ with an adult for a side-by-side hand-building session, with the next date landing August 8.
Teens have their own corner of the studio, too. MakeSpace is a free monthly drop-in art hangout for ages 13 to 18, no experience required, meeting July 22 and August 26. And Teen Art Club @ The Studio gathers teens for ceramics-focused afternoons (with snacks!) on July 8, July 29, and August 12.
Whether your kid wants one more week of summer camp or a single afternoon trying something new, Center for the Arts Evergreen has a spot waiting. Spaces are limited and fill quickly, so don't wait too long to register. Browse camp openings or sign up for a workshop today.
