Evergreen Audubon & Nature Center invites all young explorers to our nature based summer day camps! These half-day camps are designed to get kiddos exploring the outdoors in a safe, and educational setting. Camps are offered for children starting at 4-years of age, up to incoming 5th graders. Each week has a different theme and will focus on a different topic, but every week of camp is full of nature-based learning and engagement! Dinosaur Detectives Camp
Put your detective hat on to learn all about the fascinating creatures that ruled ancient earth. Kids in this week-long, half-day camp will become paleontologists and investigate the history of dinosaurs in Colorado. This week of camp will be difficult to Tricera-top!
- Cheeky Chickadees (ages 4-6): June 9 - 13
- Playful Pikas (grades 1-3): June 16 - 20
- Mischievous Marmots (grades 4-5): June 23-27
Heroic Herptiles Camp
Snakes, salamanders and frogs, oh my! Spend a week with Evergreen Audubon learning about the amazing reptiles and amphibians that call Colorado home. Explore what it takes for these animals to survive and their fascinating adaptations.
Survival Olympics Camp
What does it take to survive in the wild? Learn the skills needed for survival from master survivalists – animals! Build skills through awareness-heightening games, team building activities, mapping exercises, mindfulness activities and lessons in Leave No Trace. We will learn important survivals skills, how animals camouflage in the woods and how we can hide in plain sight.
Wee Creatures Camp
Have you ever wondered how a baby salamander starts its life? Or how snakes shed their skin as they grow? Kids in this week-long, half-day camp will investigate how different baby animals enter the world and how they grow! Each day will focus on a different animal group and how they start their lives.
