Skate the Lake New Year's Eve Festival: Parking, Maps, Details & More

Join the Evergreen Chamber and our local mountain community for the family-friendly, alcohol-free 24th annual New Year’s Eve Skate the Lake - GIANT Street Party event. PLUS it raises money for  local nonprofits.

SKATE THE LAKE the Annual New Year's Eve Tradition of is ON as a GIANT STREET Party!

The Evergreen Lake is closed for skating until mid January, but that celebration will go on! The New Year's Eve Skate the Lake Festival will now be a GIANT street party right on Highway 74 from 6 pm to 10 pm, with fireworks at 8. This is the largest family-friendly, alcohol free New Year's Eve Celebration in the state. Tickets on sale now and a portion of the net proceeds will go to 5 area nonprofits. So, for this year, leave your skates at home and come down to the festival!

There will be a 1/4 mile of activities and games that will include multiple areas of:

  • Games:
    • 4 Corn Hole games
    • 2 Giant Jenga 
    • 4 basketball shooting hoops
    • 4 giant ring toss games
    • 2 Giant Connect 4 games
    • 2 Shuffleboards 
  • 18 holes (in 2 stations) of putt putt golf played with hockey sticks and tennis balls
  • Giant Toy Story jumping castle 
  • Fire barrels manned with volunteers with marshmallows and skewers
  • A spectacular fireworks display with a New Years Eve Countdown at 8:00 pm
  • DJ and dancing
  • Ice sculpture (4 options can be voted on by the public via the Evergreen Chambers Facebook page)
  • Characature artist
  • Instagram photo frame
  • 60’ lighted tunnel at the entrance with 
  • Photo Opps:
    • 15’ photo backdrop of the Polar Express train
    • 15’ photo backdrop of a clock
    • 15’ photo backdrop of a sandy beach & palm tree
    • 15’ photo backdrop of a 2020 theme
  • A selection of food vendors
  • Fire trucks and other first responders vehicles on display
  • Free 2020 sunglasses/eyeglasses for the first 1,200 attendees
  • Glow sticks
  • And so much more!

Want a free ticket? Consider volunteering for a 2 to 2-1/2 hour shift to earn a free ticket to the event! Volunteer shifts available from 2pm to 10pm and on 1/1/20 afternoon for clean up.
