The first structured classes I took with my toddlers were at Mountain Resource Center. Those session were before their beautiful building was even built. We have great memories of those classes and the lessons I learned have carried through to all stages of my kids' lives, even now as teens!
Mountain Resource Center's Early Childhood and Family Education program is perfect for any family with kids age 5 and under. The most exciting news is that these valuable classes are now being offered FREE of Charge!

Mondays
Discovery Time Drop-In
Dates: January 14 - May 13 (no classes 1/21, 2/18, 3/25 due to JEFCO School Holidays)
Time: 9:30-11am
Class Description: Come and explore together in our early childhood classroom! This class is designed to fit your busy schedule, dropping in when you can! Caregivers and children will learn, sing and create together!
Tuesdays
Healthy Habits & Parenting Classes
Dates: 6 Week Sessions begin January 29th & June 4th
Time: TBA
Class Description: Cooking MattersTM cooking and nutrition class for parents while children enjoy nutrition and STEM activities with early childhood teachers.
Wednesdays
Parents as Teachers™ (PAT) Family Connections
Dates: February 6th - May 15th (no class March 27th)
Time: 9:30am-11am
Class Description: Come and enjoy some self-care time catching up on hot topics in parenting! Join your children for the first portion of class for exploration and circle time. Then meet in the parent room for separate facilitated discussion time while children enjoy a healthy snack and learning stations with early childhood teachers. Thursdays
Nurturing Parenting™
Dates: 15 Week Sessions begins January 17th
Time: 9:30-11:30
Class Description: Join others for parenting support! Each week includes a separate parent time facilitated by a trained educator while children attend learning activities in the adjacent early childhood classroom. Parenting topics include positive discipline, stress management, child development, family goal setting and much more!
Classes are held in the Early Childhood Classroom at Mountain Resource Center, 11030 Kitty Drive, Conifer.
