We have a few options when it comes to choosing an orthodontist in the Evergreen, Bailey & Conifer areas. We decided upon the Invisalign® treatments with Dr. Williams to straighten our teeth and fix our bites on both my daughter and myself. We started a little over a month ago and are extremely pleased with the decision. My daughter's experience has been a breeze, with little to no discomfort and she is very diligent with wearing her aligners. Mine has been pretty easy too. I did experience a bit of soreness when I first started wearing my aligners, but that didn't last long. Last week I suffered with a sinus infection and felt it in my mouth more than usual. Why bring this up? Because I wanted to mention how impressed I am that I can call the office and chat with a team member who is always happy to answer my questions. When I called last week she explained to me what was happening and offered tips to help make me feel better. She even followed up later to check on how I was doing. These are the little things that bring home the fact that from the day we first visited Williams Orthodontics we were welcomed into the family and we know this exceptional service will last throughout our treatment and beyond.
Before we settled on Invisalign® we poked around the internet to see what it was all about. As you can imagine, we found all kinds of videos and blog posts. Most showed treatment starting with the patient getting impressions of their mouth by biting down on a wad of goop, something neither of us were looking forward to (gag!). At our scanning appointment we were pleasantly surprised to learn that wouldn't be the route we'd be taking thanks to the advanced technology Dr. Willams uses.
iTero® Digital Impression System at Williams Orthodontics
Williams Orthodontics technicians are fully trained in the iTero® scanning state-of-the-art equipment. Instead of using Alginate - the goop commonly used to make impressions, the technician uses a compact hand-held wand to scan each tooth in your mouth. The process is quick, simple, radiation free, and results in a digitally perfect, 3D impression of your mouth that can be viewed instantaneously. These impressions are then sent on to Invisalign® where they then begin the work of creating the aligners used to move our teeth into the correct positions. Here is the part that really wowed me! Dr. Williams forwarded the digital videos generated by Invisalign® showing the entire process of straightening our teeth - from start to finish! It's fun to see, check it out!
