Thank you Jenny Craig for sponsoring this post. Tried other diets? It’s time for Jenny Craig!
I started journaling at the start of my Jenny Craig Journey.... well sort of. I'm not the best at journaling, but I did take notes, and I have the gist of how I have been feeling along the way. I thought that this week I'd share these thoughts with you.
My first week I was excited but also afraid. I had just posted my first really raw article about my personal life. Until then it has always been a bit on the surface. I was amazed at the support so many of you have shared with me along my journey and I can't tell you how much I have appreciated it.
My second week I was still excited. I had a few days of worry. Concern that I would fail at this attempt to lose weight with everyone watching.
My third week was pretty normal. I was going along with the plan, losing weight like I should be. I was enjoying the food and the Fresh & Free additions that I add to my diet.
Everything stayed right about the same until I got about 6th or 7th week into the program. Here I learned that it is normal to feel like I am in a rut. I was popping my meals into the microwave and watching my family eat food I felt that I wanted to eat. I was starting to miss my old ways. This was where my Jenny Craig consultant really came in handy. She reminded me that this is all for a purpose. It is working. I am losing the weight. I am meeting my goals. Here she reminded me that every step I take is in the right direction. This meeting helped me to turn the corner in my slump!
I went on vacation over the next few weeks and realized that I have been learning more that I thought. I was able to go to restaurants, make good choices, only eat what I should as far as food choices and portions. I came back from vacation and still lost weight. I proved that I really can do this!
It was about my 9th week that I stopped by Kohl's to pick up a few new clothes to fit my slimmer figure. This was a huge turning point. Dropping two pants sizes is a huge deal to me and to me a Jenny Craig win!
Week 10 I started to hear compliments from friends and colleagues. People started noticing a difference in how I look and their comments made me feel so good!
Now I am here at week 11 - staring Thanksgiving in the face with only 3 pounds to go. I am ready to celebrate with lots of healthier options for the big feast. I know that I will get to my next appointment and still see progress when I step on the scale.
What I am gathering from my collaboration of chicken scratches in my notebook is that I am getting used to my new lifestyle. I know what I need to keep this going for a lifestyle change. I AM going to meet my goal, and I AM going to keep the weight off... all with the Help of Jenny Craig and my Jenny Craig Consultant. For that I am Thankful for this Holiday Season!
