Things to Do ~ Visit Tiny Town

Normal Season: Open weekends in May, then everyday from Memorial Day through Labor Day

Tiny Town is currently closed due to COVID. They do have plans to open spring 2021.

Macaroni Kid loves to highlight some of our places to visit around Evergreen, Bailey & Conifer. One of my family's long time favorite place to visit is Tiny Town in Morrison.

Tiny town has been a local family destination for as long as I can remember. But officially it has been a part of the community for over 100 years! This unique museum of little buildings originally began as a place to entertain the daughter of George Turner, the owner of Turner Moving and Storage. In 1920 the little town was opened up to the public. Tiny Town has seen its share of ups and downs just like any community, once peaking with 125 buildings. Over the years several of its original buildings were lost to flooding in the area. After various openings and closings through the years, in 1987 the Northern Colorado Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) officially adopted Tiny Town and started its rehabilitation to bring it back to the family adventure we know and love today. Today the museum displays over 90 buildings for kids to peek in its windows and view the scenes of its tiny villages. Children and parents alike enjoy visiting the park for the train ride through the park, walking through the unique mini towns, riding the train, picnicking and perusing the little gift shop.

Last summer I had the opportunity to take my niece on her first visit to Tiny Town. We had so much fun peeking in the windows and making up stories of the little people who inhabit the town.  We enjoyed a picnic lunch on a bench by the creek, played on the playground before our trip on the train that toured us around the town.

Tiny Town is a Macaroni Kid favorite location and is a must for locals and visitors alike.
