Enjoy a Picnic on the Stage at Red Rocks

By Julie Dikken March 19, 2015
Now that spring is getting closer, we are longing to find activities that let us enjoy the beautiful weather and take in the gorgeous scenery of our community.

Last weekend we took advantage of the sunny days. We did a quick check of redrocksonline.com to make sure there weren't any scheduled events, then packed ourselves a lunch and headed to Red Rocks Amphitheater.

There were a lot of people enjoying the park, but it didn't seem crowded. It was fun to watch people exercise, picnic and even watched some girls hoola-hooping and juggling.

The kids got a kick out of eating lunch and playing on the stage where thousands of famous musicians have performed. They now like to say they got to perform at Red Rocks, preferring to leave out the fact it was on their "air guitars".  After lunch we climbed to the top to catch the view, then hiked around on some of the trails.
