How It Works:
- First, select the prize from your business. If you teach classes, offer a class. If you make baby clothes, offer something you've made. If you own a spa, offer a day of pampering to a lucky mom. (You get the idea.) The quality of the prize is important, in terms of generating subscriber interest. You'll also need to provide a brief blurb describing the prize, and your logo or photo to be used as the thumbnail picture for the article about your Giveaway.
- I'll put the entry form & official rules together on Google Docs, and will have it available for your review before it's released to the public. (I'm required both by law and by Macaroni Kid HQ to post Official Contest Rules.)
- I'll create an article announcing the start of the contest in the Evergreen/Bailey/Conifer Macaroni Kid e-newsletter. The e-newsletter also publishes to our website, and will be available on our homepage for one week.
- I will also post the article about your Giveaway on my social media sites.
- If you have an e-mail mailing list and/or social media sites, please send out a note to your fans early in the week, letting them know you're giving away something they like. Something as simple as "Check out the giveaway we're offering on Macaroni Kid! [link]" will do. Cross-promotion is both encouraged and appreciated!
- I'll choose the winner via random.org, notify you of the winner's name and e-mail address, then announce the winner's name and town in a in the Evergreen/Bailey/Conifer Macaroni Kid e-newsletter. You may wish to post the winner on your websites as well after the winner has been announced.
- You'll award the winner - and enjoy the extra word-of-mouth your business received this week!
