Promote Your Local Lemonade Stand with Macaroni Kid

For FREE!

June 23, 2016
I was driving home from the grocery store last summer and came upon an adorable set up on the side of the road. Cuter yet, was the two little girls holding a sign beckoning me to stop and patronize their lemonade stand. How could I not pull in?

The funny thing is, the week before I had a conversation with a local mom who was in the process of helping her daughter and friend build a lemonade stand out of wooden pallets. It was this conversation where it occurred to me that these young entrepreneurs hosting lemonade stands in the Evergreen, Bailey, Conifer and surrounding areas should have a place to promote their business. Macaroni Kid is the perfect fit!

So, whether you are hand squeezing your lemons, or using a mix, if you are hosting it at a school or church, by the side of the road, at your garage sale - it doesn't matter, you just provide us with the info and we will place it on the Macaroni Kid Calendar for you. You never know, Macaroni Kid might just pay a visit!  Submit your Lemonade Stand event here.

Here are some pictures of local Macaroni Kid subscribers Lily and Megan who held their successful lemonade stand last summer.

The stand was made out of wooden pallets, then painted by Lily and Megan with leftover paints. The girls finished it up with a beautifully made sign!

Lily and Megan chose to serve only the freshest of ingredients, and even though their parents offered to finance a power juicer, they decided to stick with "girl power" and hand squeezed each lemon. You can find their recipe in in this week's Macaroni Kid edition Macaroni Made ~ Fresh Squeezed Lemonade Stand Lemonade.

Along with their parents, Lily and Megan figured out the cost of supplies ahead of time. Using their math and research skills they calculated the cost of each cup and mini umbrella, so they could pay for the supplies they used out of the money they earned. It turned out to be a fun learning experience for them. After expenses were calculated, the girls earned $10 and their parents said "they totally earned it"!
