Kids Ski Free at Vail Resorts (2016-17) Sign-Up By May 30th!

May 19, 2016
An experience of a lifetime in the Rocky Mountains is more accessible than ever before for Colorado kids! Epic SchoolKids returns this year, providing a full season of free skiing for Colorado kids in Kindergarten through 5th Grade!

Registration is only available through Monday, May 30! Children enrolled in the program will receive four complimentary days of skiing and riding at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, and Keystone — that's 16 free days per student for the 2016-2017 winter season! Additionally, participants can receive one complimentary full-day first-timer lesson, including equipment rental.

"Epic SchoolKids is our way of making skiing and snowboarding accessible to Colorado kids in kindergarten through fifth grade. We hope by offering 16 free days at our mountains, children will be able to try skiing and snowboarding for the first time or continue their passion with the sport. There is no better sport to enjoy as a family, so when parents combine Epic SchoolKids with Epic Local passes for themselves, they're giving their families access to the finest resorts in Colorado at an incredible value," said Kirsten Lynch, chief marketing officer of Vail Resorts.

How Can We Enroll in the Program?
  • Parents should bring their kids entering Kindergarten through 5th grade for the 2016 -2017 school year to a participating Front Range Colorado Ski & Golf or Boulder Ski Deals location beginning March 28.
  • Epic SchoolKids must have a physical copy of their report card, school ID, or birth certificate (copy will be retained).
  • A printed photo for the pass is also required (photo will be retained).
  • Parent or guardian will be asked to sign a release.
  • Your child's pass will be mailed once processed (processing times vary).
OK, What's the Catch?
Really, there's no catch! There are certain restrictions, however. The Epic SchoolKids Colorado Pack is restricted during the following holiday periods in 2016-2017: November 25-26, December 26-31, January 14, and February 18-19. First-timer lessons and rentals are available from December 3-17 and January 17-31 and must be redeemed as a package. This is one lesson at a single resort, not a free lesson at each resort.
