Summer Reading Programs in Evergreen, Bailey and Conifer

School is out (or almost!) for the summer, so now is the perfect time to get started on a summer reading program. Whether you sign your kids up at the local libraries or you come up with a fun program of your own, it is a great way to keep your kids minds growing all summer long.

Here are the programs the libraries are offering in the Evergreen, Bailey and Conifer Areas.

Let's Read a Marathon and Prevent the Summer Slide
Jefferson County Public Library Reading Program
Jefferson County Library has set a goal for a reading marathon of 26.2 million minutes over the summer. Each participant's logged time will contribute towards this goal.

Prizes:
Everyone gets a gift at the "starting line" just by registering. Prizes are also given at the halfway point, and again at the finish line. (pick up prizes, while they last!)

Reading Goals:
Ages 0-3 – Complete 24 early-childhood education activities
Ages 4-18 – read for 8 hours
Ages 19+ – read for 16 hours

Get Started:
Dates are from June 1-July 31. Register online at jeffcolibrary.org. You keep track of your minutes by keeping a log online. Babies and toddlers can participate too!

On Your Mark, Get Set...READ!
Bailey Public Library
Bailey Library will present a Collaborative Summer Library Program for children, tweens, and teens every Monday in June from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Health and wellness is the theme. Ages 6 and up welcome unless accompanied by an adult. Ask for a registration form for your child the next time you visit the library, or call 303-838-5539 for more information!
