MK Act of Kindness Day ~ Food Drive with Macaroni Kid EBC

To support Mountain Resource Center and EChO

By Julie Dikken, Publisher Macaroni Kid Evergreen, Bailey & Conifer September 3, 2015
On Saturday, September 19, 2015, more than fifty Macaroni Kid Publishers are coming together to Make a Difference in their communities and included in this amazing national day will be a Food Drive hosted by Macaroni Kid Evergreen, Bailey & Conifer.

Throughout the month of September, Macaroni Kid Evergreen, Bailey & Conifer will be collecting items needed at local food banks at every Macaroni Kid Booth held in September and October. Events will include Hay Days Harvest Festival at Humphrey History Museum (9/12), Ridgefest at Aspen Ridge (9/26) and Taste of the Foothills on 10/10.

How can you play along? Stop by the Macaroni Kid Booth at any (or all!) of the events listed above and bring a non-perishible food item to donate. Donations will benefit both Mountain Resource Center and EChO. Items that are in need are:
  • Hearty Soups and Stews (7 grams of protein or more)
  • Cereals - both hot and cold
  • Canned Fruits, Canned Beans (black bean and pinto), and Canned Vegetables
  • Toothpaste and Tooth Brushes
  • Razors
  • Toilet Paper
We are proud to be a part of this 2nd annual nationwide celebration.  Last year Macaroni Kid Publishers came together to raise over $20,000 for local charities, 35,000 diapers were donated, hundreds of kids signed anti-bullying pledges and the list goes on.  We are honored to use our reach in over 600 communities nationwide, include the community and show Acts of Kindness in so many ways. #MKAOK
