My memories of Independence Day as a kid who grew up in Evergreen include barbecues on our deck complete with sparklers and pop-its, festivals at Hiwan and finishing with fireworks by the lake. That was a long time ago and things haven't changed too much! With the exception of the fireworks over the lake, my kids get to enjoy the same fun as I did growing up here.
